Grid losses
Grid losses result from the difference between feeding and sampling electrical energy.
The average procurement price corresponds to the average price that TenneT TSO GmbH has to pay to cover the grid losses. This price does not correspond to the price used for billing individual grid fees in accordance with Section 19 (2) of the German Electricity Network Access Ordinance (StromNEV). The price published here includes the costs for long-term and short-term procurement as well as other costs incurred by TenneT TSO GmbH for grid loss management. This price also takes into account TenneT TSO GmbH's grid loss procurement for both the onshore and offshore grids.
