The energy sector is developing rapidly. The process of European market integration began some years ago. Its purpose is to create a single European market that enables market parties to trade gas and electricity across national borders easily and efficiently.
Control area balance
The control area balance corresponds to the sum of all balancing group deviations in a control area. Balancing group deviations usually arise from differences between forecasted and actual generation and consumption. Since balancing group deviations are not immediately available online, the control area balance is calculated on the basis of the corresponding use of control energy. The published data are values from operational measurement, adjusted for measurement corrections if necessary. Due to the connection to PICASSO and MARI, the calculation logic changes, therefore a new publication is made from this point on.
