Our grid

TenneT manages the high-voltage grid in the Netherlands and large parts of Germany. TenneT transmits electricity at 110,000 volts (110 kV) and higher. With around 24,500 kilometres of high-voltage lines, we cross borders and connect countries.

Information for visitors

ID required

All visitors to TenneT sites must report to the reception desk upon arrival and provide proof of identity, i.e. a valid passport, identity card or driving license. The receptionist will give you a personal visitor’s badge after you have registered. This badge must be worn in a clearly visible place at all times.

Route descriptions

Route descriptions are available via our Locations page. You can park in one of the visitor parking spaces. There are charging stations for electric cars available.


For TenneT, the safety of its employees and visitors is of paramount importance. We adhere to safety procedures, warn each other about unsafe situations and always report any incident or near miss.
